The Picual from the Maestrazgo region in the Valencian Community is different from that of southern Spain. Generally, the spiciness and bitterness are less pronounced. However, the aromas are very strong, and the taste is mild and very pleasant.

The typical aromas are of olive leaf, tomato plant, fig leaf, and green grass. It is fluid and smooth on the palate with a persistent finish.

Picual is ideal for pairing with stews, salmorejo, gazpacho, meats, green salads, etc.

El Picual de la zona del Maestrazgo en la Comunidad Valenciana es diferente al del sur de España, en general, el picante y el amargo se encuentran en menor grado, sin embargo, los aromas son muy altos y el sabor en boca se caracteriza por su suavidad y es muy agradable-

Los aromas típicos son a hoja de olivo, planta de tomate tomatera, hoja de higuera y a hierba verde. Fluido y suave al paladar con persistencia final en boca.
